DOUGLAS R. EIKERMAN is a former naval officer, lawyer, teacher, farmer, blogger, and author. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the United States Naval Academy in 1974, completed a Juris Doctor at the University of Kansas in 1982, and earned a Master of Laws in Transnational Business and Taxation from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1985. He is the author of five books: The Second Half of the Life of Bernard Trammel, a literary novel; What Your Lawyer Doesn't Want You to Know, a nonfiction piece for laypersons; The Woman in My Journal and Other Stories, a collection of short stories and personal essays; Ram-haj, a young-adult fantasy, and Petatán, an allegorical novel.
